This free outdoor photography exhibition, presented as part of the Matthew Boulton Bicentenary and Advantage West Midlands’ Celebration of Imagination, looks at one of the most important public demonstrations of Birmingham’s industrial prowess: The Exhibition of Local Manufactures and Natural History held at the Bingley Hall in 1886.   The exhibition also explores Birmingham’s pioneering role in the development of industrial exhibitions in Britain, from the Bingley Hall in the 19th century to its modern counterparts, the National Exhibition Centre and the International Convention Centre.
 
The exhibition will be accompanies by a special 24 page publication, priced £4.00, available from Birmingham Central Library of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery’s Shop.
