Mill Hill House B&B
A warm welcome awaits you at our nineteenth century brick and stone cottage, along with a cup of tea and a slice of fruit loaf.
We offer a full English breakfast with locally sourced ingredients from Ludlow. The free range eggs are usually from the cheese stall in the market, the pork sausages and short back bacon from Walls, one of Ludlow’s prize winning butchers, freshly squeezed orange juice from Farmers fruit and veg. shop in Mill Street, and bread from Prices in Market Square. A vegetarian breakfast can be done on request. If you would like vegetarian sausages etc. but please advise when booking.
We have a character oak beamed double and twin room to let for B&B. Our rooms are not ensuite, but there is a separate loo with wash basin, and a bathroom with walk in shower and bath. Bedrooms are equipped with hanging space, dressing tables with drawer space, bedside tables with shelves for toiletries etc. They are equipped with sewing kits, small torches (to be found in the top drawer of dressing tables),kettles, a variety of tea and herbal tea bags, coffee etc. radio alarms, hair dryers etc. There are not TVs in the bedrooms, but we do have a TV in our oak beamed guest sitting room with log fire.
There is no single occupancy supplement and we are non smoking throughout.
A good time to check in is between mid afternoon and 18.00. Please let me know if you are arriving after this time. We request that guests vacate their rooms by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Breakfast is normally served between 8.30 and 9.30, but if an earlier time is required this can be facilitated if requested beforehand.
Brimfield is handy for visiting Ludlow, Leominster and Tenbury Wells, as well as being a good jumping off point for touring the Shropshire and Herefordshire countryside.
There are walks that can be done from the house, Brimfield and Wyson common can both be arrived at by a combination of lane and various footpaths. It is possible to circumnavigate Wyson Common without seeing a soul. There are maps which you are welcome to borrow. It is true that this is a beautiful and largely undiscovered part of the world – once visited it is hard not to keep coming back. For more information on walking you might like to visit www.shropshirewalking.co.uk
The Roebuck and Salway Arms are both in easy walking distance. The Boot at Orleton can be walked to by footpath, if you are feeling energetic.
